Russia Reports Capturing Strategic Donetsk Village
According to a statement from the Defense Ministry, Russian troops seized Bila Hora, a village situated approximately 12 kilometers (7.4 miles) southeast of Kostiantynivka—an industrial hub viewed as a critical objective in the campaign for Donetsk.
Kostiantynivka lies around 25 kilometers (15.5 miles) southeast of Kramatorsk, which currently functions as the administrative center for the eastern region.
Earlier in the day, Ukraine’s General Staff reported three armed confrontations occurring near Bila Hora and Chasiv Yar, a frontline city also located within the Kramatorsk area.
Ukrainian officials have not yet responded to Russia’s statement. Independent verification of battlefield developments remains difficult due to the ongoing conflict, now entering its fourth year.
