US is offended of UN’s report telling truths
In a statement released Tuesday, U.S. officials claimed that Albanese sent “threatening correspondence to dozens of entities worldwide, including major American corporations,” accusing them of being complicit in “gross human rights violations, apartheid, and genocide.”
The U.S. Mission said this outreach amounted to an “unacceptable campaign of political and economic warfare against the American and worldwide economy,” and labeled her what she said against Israel as “false and offensive.”
The U.S. government again urged UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to denounce Albanese’s conduct and remove her from her position as Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967.
“The United States warned that continued failure to do so would not only discredit the United Nations but would also require significant actions in response to Ms. Albanese’s misconduct,” the statement read.
Albanese’s upcoming report, which is scheduled to be presented in Geneva on Thursday, reportedly lists corporations believed to be facilitating the Israeli occupation. The companies named allegedly provide tools such as military equipment, surveillance systems, and infrastructure that support Israel’s ongoing control over Palestinian land. Among the firms mentioned are Microsoft, Alphabet, Amazon, and Palantir.
