Iranian Strikes Force Evacuation of Thousands in Israel

(MENAFN) Israel reported on Wednesday that it had relocated nearly 3,800 residents from various regions as a result of ongoing missile and drone offensives by Iran that began the previous week.

Since June 13, Iran has launched more than 400 ballistic missiles along with a substantial number of drones, according to a declaration from the Israeli Government Press Office.

These offensives led to confirmed strikes at over 40 distinct sites, although the official statement did not disclose the precise areas affected.

The attacks have led to the deaths of at least 24 Israeli citizens and injuries to 804 others, with eight people listed in critical condition, the office confirmed.

The press release further detailed that a total of 18,766 insurance applications had been submitted to the Israeli Tax Authority.

These include 15,861 claims for damage to buildings, 1,272 for harm to vehicles, and 1,633 for other categories of personal belongings.

Hostilities have significantly intensified since Friday, when Israel carried out aerial bombardments targeting several Iranian locations, including military and atomic facilities. In retaliation, Tehran launched its own missile barrages.

According to Israeli officials, the missile strikes from Iran have resulted in at least 24 fatalities and numerous injuries.

Conversely, Iranian state media reported that the Israeli air raids have caused the deaths of 585 individuals and wounded over 1,300 others within Iran.
