Iran states US "bears responsibility" in attacks with Israel
(MENAFN) Iran has accused the United States of playing a direct role in recent Israeli air raids on Iranian soil, alleging that the strikes—carried out with American-made weaponry—led to extensive casualties, including senior military personnel and civilians.
As reported by official sources, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei condemned the attack, calling it “a blatant act of aggression.” He claimed the assault could not have occurred without active involvement, backing, and coordination from Washington.
“The United States bears responsibility for the deaths and destruction caused by this assault,” Baghaei stated, insisting that the U.S. shares accountability for the lives lost and the damage inflicted.
The accusations come amid heightened regional tensions following Israel’s wide-scale bombardment early Friday, which reportedly killed a number of military leaders, scientists, and numerous civilians. In response, Iran launched counterattacks later the same day, and the exchange of hostilities has continued into Monday, deepening concerns of a broader conflict.
