Trump Commands Massive Deportations of Undocumented Migrants

(MENAFN) US President Donald Trump has commanded federal immigration authorities to significantly intensify deportations of undocumented migrants from Democrat-controlled urban centers following recent unrest in Los Angeles.

On Sunday night, Trump took to his Truth Social account to direct Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents to “achieve the very important goal of delivering the single largest Mass Deportation Program in History.”

He emphasized the necessity of broadening detention and deportation efforts specifically in major cities with large undocumented populations, naming Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York as key targets. “In order to achieve this, we must expand efforts to detain and deport Illegal Aliens in America’s largest Cities, such as Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York, where Millions upon Millions of Illegal Aliens reside,” Trump stated.

The former president also accused Democrats of leveraging illegal immigration to “expand their Voter Base, cheat in Elections, and grow the Welfare State, robbing good paying Jobs and Benefits from Hardworking American Citizens.”

Many Democratic bastions, including Los Angeles and Chicago, have enacted sanctuary policies limiting their collaboration with federal immigration agents—measures that Trump and the Republican Party have persistently criticized.

California Governor Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass have openly condemned Trump’s deployment of the National Guard and active-duty Marines in response to the disturbances triggered by recent ICE operations. Newsom went further by filing a lawsuit against Trump and the Department of Defense, asserting the actions were illegal.

“Donald Trump is creating fear and terror by failing to adhere to the US Constitution and overstepping his authority,” the governor declared.

Following several days marked by looting, property damage, and confrontations with law enforcement, officials imposed a curfew on downtown Los Angeles starting Tuesday night.

During his campaign, Trump pledged to reverse what he labeled as “open border” policies implemented under former President Joe Biden, who has presided over a surge of migrants crossing the US-Mexico border.
